This week’s practice includes a lengthy outline that covers A LOT of ground. Not to worry! We will not spend too much time on the outline. Engage as much or as little of the information as you find helpful for your purposes. The primary reason for looking back of Christian/Church history is to learn from mistakes that have been made AND recognize the importance of adapting our faith to shifting contexts and thereby remaining relevant without losing our identity (I’ll explain the relevance—identity dilemma during the session). Also, there are several discussion questions at the end. Be thinking about Community Church in light of church history, especially New Testament churches, and our priorities and relevance today.
